Open and Shut
This is the first book by David Rosenfelt and I started the series at the end (what else is new?) so I am playing catch-up. I like these legal stories because of the main character Andy Carpenter. He is a very rich ... very sarcastic ... and very clever lawyer who is always called upon to defend the undefendable. Might be described as John Grisham meets Christopher Moore.
