Three Fates
The Fates are three silver statuettes representing Clotho, Lachesis and Atropos. Owning the complete collection of three would render anyone wealthy. One of the three was allegedly lost with the sinking of the Lusitania in 1915. However, when this statuette shows up it leads art historians and collectors alike to begin searching for the other two. The reader is introduced to the cast of six characters who resolve to reunite the three, throwing in a little romance along the way.I normally do not pick up Nora Roberts books on my own but am quite often handed them by a girlfriend. When I do read them I find I enjoy her books and especially her dialogue. Ms. Roberts often has me wishing I could think that quickly on my feet and participate in some witty repartee. It was a fun read.
